We also know that so many who are on the cusp close themselves down if confronted with information which is too far outside their comfort zone. Believe me, I know. I spent a significant percentage of my 20’s and 30’s trying to ‘convert’ people to left wing politics. I think the word is ‘futile.’
Truth activists, more concerned with injustices and the breath-taking, mind blowing deception which is called ‘reality’ seek comfort in information sharing, going deeper and wider, yet sometimes losing sight of the goal, i.e. …the other dimension.
However, three recent events locally in Malvern came to my attention this week. Iceland [the frozen food company] are selling kangaroo meat. An appalled animal welfare person, Max Burgess, stood outside the store bring this to shopper’s attention. Iceland fobbed him off with an infinitely cloned piece of meaningless newspeak. Last winter the same company poured bleach on food destined for the tip to stop the homeless eating it.
How many would continue to shop there if they knew about both of these events?
There is a pretty, traditional village down the road from Malvern called Leigh Sinton. Plans have been approved to build enough new houses to make the village 50% bigger. Here’s what a local resident said:
“What are the council for? It seems local decisions are becoming worthless. If they carry on, we will join to Malvern, Malvern will join to Worcester and there will be no green space left and we will end up as one big urban conurbation of housing estates.”
Who would welcome this-apart from obviously the builders and any corrupt politicians-if they had moved, as we did nearly two years ago from a place surrounded by green when I was a child [Stockton Heath] to the homogenous sprawl which is known as the North-West. You cannot travel 1 mile in Cheshire without ‘development.’ It had become, for me, a nightmare.
And we have a group who seem hell-bent on blighting one of the most beautiful places in Europe-Malvern Hills, inspiration to Tolkien, Elgar and CS Lewis-with a cable car system. The primary excuse is that it will help those with walking difficulties. I will desist in giving my opinion here; this presses my button big time. A local hero-he will become one- Richard Edwards is working tirelessly to track, anticipate, highlight and oppose the group’s efforts in pushing this through after a recent knock back:
“There are a whole range of people against it, but they are all isolated at the moment and that’s why I am hoping to bring this together.”
Hmm.
What connects these events to truth and awakening? Everything.
They are all examples of unfettered greed. It could be said all are examples of contempt for others. The last two are examples of contempt for, ignorance of or blindness to any true form of beauty. If you cannot appreciate a world-renowned vista without wanting to destroy it for residents and visitors alike, then the word philistine has no meaning.
Now if I could write for 1000 years, I could not exhaust the supply of examples of corporate greed, contempt for the opinion or sanctity of others and the annihilation of beauty.
Malvern has two Caffe Nero outlets. Caffe Nero is an American corporation. They pay little or no tax in the UK. Malvern has three supermarkets. I suspect all of them sell Cheerio’s. I recall a news story from yesterday, but the detail of which I forget, about the manufacturers of Cheerios [General Mills] doing some underhand/illegal/immoral acts. That I now can’t find it on Google speaks volumes.
Cheerios are owned by Nestle. Here is a quote from their last CEO, Peter Brabeck-Letmathe in 2013:
“Water is not a human right.” If you go to Nestlé’s own site, you will see Brabeck saying the opposite.
“THE MOST POWERFUL FORM OF LIE IS THE OMISSION” George Orwell.
You could argue that awakening may even begin pre-incarnation. The father I chose taught me to question or doubt authority when I was an infant.
As we raise our vibration through loving acts, through kindness and compassion, through forgiveness of even the psychopaths who currently run ‘the ship’ almost all of us still can see injustices spewing out daily like water from a fractured main.
Whilst the argument about where we place most of our attention, hence effort, rages, my purpose here on earth at this time is unequivocal. To help raise individual and collective consciousness.
I might frighten a few horses, but-don’t you love metaphors-I won’t be facing the other way when the train is coming.
Light workers need to work with activists. Activists need to educate the drowsy ‘public.’ Light workers need to engage with those the activists have woken up. Anyone who cares for the future of humanity must daily seek ways to operate smoothly in all these ‘worlds’ and to get the messages of love, compassion, empathy, forgives and justice out even quicker than the burst water main.
I don’t see carnage on the tracks. We are all light workers, we are all activists, and we are all sparks of the Divine.
And yes Richard you may be on to something when you talk about bringing people together...
