The world has quite a few tyrants-as we are repeatedly told-like
Mugabe, Assad, Rouhani [Iran], Kim Il Sung [N. Korea], all hell bent on world domination.
[Well, perhaps not Mugabe, Zimbabwe doesn’t have enough oil]
So, surely it is the highest moral calling of all those for who believe in war, to enlist, offer themselves to fight these despotic regimes?
And don’t many if not most MP’s see themselves as leaders, as opinion formers, as agenda setters?
If the 272 MP’s who voted last night [29/8/2013] for war wanted to re-claim all that credibility they have lost, through expenses scandals, cocaine sniffing in the Commons toilets, paedophile cover-ups, round the world junkets, the revolving door of lobbying, and eternal recesses, then selfless acts of sacrifice in Syria would be at the top of the list wouldn’t it?
“We aren’t trained,” I hear, “We’re too old, unfit and temperamentally unsuited…”
What has happened to the Bulldog spirit? Is it not possible to create a “Britain’s Got Bottle” war talent competition for MP’s? And they could all be winners! Get some ex-SAS people to put all 272 through their paces? And why don’t we hire ATOS to assess them? ATOS would virtually guarantee a full consignment stepping on that flight to Damascus.
I have a dream. The whole war-crazy pack of MP’s being parachuted into Damascus, kitted out with full chemical warfare protection, sponsored by Monsanto. And no need to declare an interest!
What nobler death could there ever be, what nobler cause than to be seen to be ridding the world of tyrants, one tyrant at a time.
Lobby your MP now, get them on that plane, get democracy back on its feet, save the world!
