A lot of people are asleep. The majority of the world. If they were awake, it wouldn’t need people like me venting my spleen.
My ‘business’ is health and getting people to wake up and more. What does the word abundance mean to you? Joining the ranks of the top bankers? Bigger house, better car, becoming debt-free?
In the spiritual community, you can be abundant in every area of your life. Relationships, health, work, leisure. In short everything you need, as opposed to everything you want.
Again, self-evidently, there are people ‘of means’ who are philanthropists, who use their wealth to do good, sometimes great, things. And, in the self and personal development world, ‘gurus’ abound who can make you rich. You can attract money to yourself. You can let go of the 1000’s of beliefs which stop you becoming someone ‘of means.’ Grab the high life!
Now, assuming this happens. You are now rich. What are you going to do with your new found wealth? Write a book? “I Can Make You Even Richer Than He Can?” Go on a cruise? Give it all away? Enjoy your life? Set up a charity to help those less fortunate?
Another statement of the blindingly obvious. If you want to help people out of their metaphorical holes, throwing the rope down and jumping into the hole yourself doesn’t make a lot of sense.
Money is an energy. Some say it is neutral, but they don’t live in Greece and have their electricity cut
off. If you decide to become a guru, you do realise to help others you have to charge premium rates. You see if someone can’t afford your services, it means they are not serious about wanting to become rich themselves. Obvious isn’t it?
Recently, I have noticed a few gurus are trade marking love. Love has now become a commodity.
[Pause now for accusations of hypocrisy. We run workshops, based on unconditional love. And charge for
them]
Ain’t life a bitch!
Is there a way out of all this? As the men of few words in spaghetti westerns would say. Maybe.
Who wouldn’t prefer to live debt-free? Who wouldn’t want a reliable car, and a house in a nice part of town? Who wouldn’t want the apparent ‘security’ money in the bank gives them?
But we have got it the wrong way around.
Find out, declare, or realise what you are on this planet for. If it is to help people realise they can be abundant, can let go of the brainwashing about money they have had since birth, go for it! If it is to help
and serve others in a thousand different ways, go for it. If you are truly aligned with life purpose, money and abundance will flow to you. One of the world’s greatest authors, Paolo Coelho, exhorts you
to ‘follow your heart’ in most of his books.
Living your truth will set you free.
And very soon, when enough people are awake, you won’t need people like me will you?
But for the time being, it’s partly what I’m here for…
