The Unbearable Limitation of Ignorant Discourse

Kenneth Clarke is a chauvinist… Boris Johnson worries the French… Did you vote remain?...I can’t understand how anyone could do that...What you think about Teresa May?… Life goes on…

Thank God it does.

I recall as a child, like almost all children, moving closer and closer to understanding what adults were talking about. Naturally progress depended on so many variables, not least giving a damn about what was being discussed. And then later some of us pay attention to what those engaging in it would call “intelligent” discourse.

Qualifications, of which I have too many to mention, do say something about the possessor. An ability to absorb information, sometimes understand it, and then reproduce it at examination time. If  you go too far down this path, it inexorably leads to the rarefied world of academia. For four years I was a university lecturer and so have all the credentials to engage in “intelligent discourse.”

It is a road to nowhere.

The discourse is so narrow it almost never strays beyond the boundaries set by the mainstream. Those boundaries contain within them system serving politicians, bureaucrats, academics, journalists, media presenters and a whole assortment of gofers and sycophants.

It would be so easy to say who gives a f*** about Teresa May, Boris Johnson, even Jeremy Corbyn and the mainstream media.. However as I, along with many others, have wasted many a good hour commenting on this lot I will pass this time to avoid being called a hypocrite.

This is the problem. Almost everyone never, ever gives a moment’s thought to where they get their information. Those who consider themselves intelligent will add as a caveat that they can see through what is being reported in the media and make their own minds up.

But they can’t.

Their world, and this is the reason why we are stuck in this mess, is constructed hour by hour day by day by the mainstream. The world lives in Plato’s Cave.

So my advice, request-maybe even plea-to those of you who are awake is to challenge, always nicely, how and where people get their information from.

My usual response these days to the mindless harvesting, and then perpetual recycling of uninformed opinions about things that don’t really matter is to say nothing.

But worry not, the world continues to awake despite it being terminally sluggish in the steam room and the swimming pool at Malvern Splash Leisure Centre.

There I’ve said it again. Done this topic to death. So please go off now and have a beautiful day!

Com[mon] promise?

PictureSoul Card by Deborah Koff-Chapin
Found out this morning that a very good friend of mine has found his soulmate, and will soon be moving in with her. It has made my day. Few things inspire me more than this. That two more wonderful souls have found each other… their combined light will shine so much more brightly.

The person in question bravely ended the relationship with another beautiful soul months ago to enable him to move on.

How many people out there remain in relationships which are in essence dead simply because they cannot summon up the courage or motivation to end them. Of course in a nanosecond I will get the response [staying together] “it’s for the children”. Well, how much is it for the children to be part of unit which is living a lie? However for some this is too big an issue to deal with.

The two people above both have children.

So, are we on this planet to live lives of quiet desperation? Who benefits from this sad, lonely, and mostly futile situation?

My first marriage was an absolute disaster. Yet what a learning curve it took me on. Like I suppose most men, it wasn’t me who ended it, but I’m eternally grateful to Linda for doing so. Thank you. Yes, when ego, pride, male posturing and who gets the CDs all subside, everything opens up. “Just around the corner” waiting to be “downloaded from the etheric” was my future partner of 36 years.

And maybe now I’m the luckiest person alive. My new relationship with Vanessa is beyond anything I could have predicted. In the etheric, or spirit world, it was all mapped out. So, there will be no triumphalism in this article at the expense of those who have omitted this from their “soul contract”.

Is your soulmate just around the corner…

So, you pursue the life of a single person with gusto. You join endless clubs, sign up to learn dancing, feel empowered from your independence, get a cat [or dog] and maybe you go on endless rounds of dating. You have some good times, you meet like-minded people who become your friends, and meet interesting people of the opposite sex. If that’s your bag. But despite the occasional highs, it doesn’t quite work out. Maybe a [another?] compromise is to get involved with someone who doesn’t quite cut it. But it’s better than being alone. Hmmm. Or you wait for Mr/Ms Right who never turns up...

It is indeed a minefield.

I read in spiritual texts the importance of loving yourself. It is obvious if you do not love yourself then what you are offering to a prospective partner is flawed. You expect them to love someone, yourself, you don’t love either. And yet if we wait until we are perfect, the day we are complete within ourselves, we could be waiting for ever.

In my ‘map of the world’ we are here to evolve the soul. To serve all sentient beings. To help make the world a better place, then to return home.* We evolve the soul, serve others, and make the world a better place through an appreciation and the creation of beauty. Beauty is appreciated through kindness, through love, through acceptance, and through connecting the divine within everyone to the divine within us. Namaste.

I cannot speak for you but this journey on the earth plane for me has no value or purpose unless it is shared with the most significant other.

Before concluding this enlightening interlude let me say this. Most of the communication between us is unspoken. Yes we can wound each other and destroy our relationships with ill-considered or deliberate verbal aggression. Yet never, ever underestimate what your partner and/or your children are picking up moment by moment, hour by hour, day by day from an arrangement that suits no one. Pay attention to that...

Wither your soulmate? Years ago I was involved in running courses to help people find their soul mates. They had mixed success. No more courses, but massive learning.

  • Is your relationship going nowhere? Is it better than nothing? Who benefits?
  • Would you like to meet your soulmate? Really? Do you deserve a soul mate? What are you prepared to do?
  • Do you love yourself? Enough for someone else to find you are a hidden treasure? Do you have to love yourself completely before “setting out your stall?”
  • How do you feel about one night stands?
  • Do you know how to love another? Perhaps the word compromise might be better expressed as com [mon] promise.
  • Is being right more important than loving someone?
  • What have you learned from your life so far?

And lastly, I will close with this. My late wife was the most important person in the world to me. However, and Anne would also admit to this, we both placed our mission, our work above each other far more often than I feel comfortable admitting. That is one thing I will never do with Vanessa. She is not only most important person in the world to me, I show it, mean it and live it. And it is reciprocated.

Try it. Your life will never be the same. It will be transformed.

Over the Hill and far away...

Well, having revamped the site surely it is appropriate to create a new blog post? The wonderful Zen Gardner (above) almost says it all...

I was at yoga last night and it was revealed that some people are spooked by a simple chant. A couple had walked out of one of our teacher's previous classes when she told them the group was just about to do a chant. What is a chant? Chants help us move from our left brain conditioned mind into our infinite right brain creative mind. Conditioned? Surely not?

We have just had a vote in this country to take back control of our destiny. Not really I suppose because it will take more than a vote to wrest power from those currently ‘in control.’ However where do most people get their information from?

Over the years, especially many years ago when I was a political activist, I have discussed and argued the meaning of life with probably thousands of people. What I always struggle with is tunnel vision and fixed worldview. The overwhelming majority get their worldview from the mainstream. There is an almost unquestioning, no there is an unquestioning subscription to what is churned out daily by the likes of the BBC, ITV and the so-called ‘newspapers.’ As soon as anyone realises that all of these “media” have an agenda, everything changes.

In recent years the bias of the BBC has become embarrassing. However, surely even the most blinkered mainstream slave would have doubts about the veracity of information coming out of an organisation that was and still is riddled with paedophiles. Jimmy Savile anyone?

Well I’ve said it all before. We now have mega crook Hillary Clinton about to be “elected” as the next US president. Still, she is a woman so that’s probably a good enough reason to vote for her. Especially for the BBC as they are obsessed with precedents.

Not much more to add here except to say if you are sick and tired of anyone you are in dialogue with trotting out the mainstream view of the world then challenge, nicely of course, their information source.

Of course you know the chances are you will be labelled a conspiracy theorist, but if we challenge the mainstream slavery sufficiently often it might make just one person wake up. And as we are all expressions of God, one person waking up will change the world.

Have a fabulous day!
